The report
We are pleased to present the results of our survey.
About the Survey
One of the basic advantages of arbitration is its effectiveness. The procedure is effective when it is well-organised and reduces costs. Our previous Polish Arbitration Survey 2016 indicated that measures on organising proceedings are not used frequently enough in Polish arbitration. In the Polish Arbitration Survey 2019, we examined the practical aspects of arbitration proceedings determining its effectiveness. We looked at the rules, techniques and practices present in Polish arbitration in respect to the organisation and conduct of arbitration proceedings. We also examined arbitration users’ opinions on the best arbitration practices.
The Polish Arbitration Survey 2019 was addressed to all arbitration practitioners, i.e. counsels representing parties in arbitration proceedings and to arbitrators. The survey was carried out by questionnaires sent individually to these people.
